Biography of John W. Kerlish, SPHR
As founder and President of Human Resources Management Associates, Inc. a Lancaster, PA based human resource management consulting firm, Mr. Kerlish has more than 28 years of experience in human resource and general management. Among his professional credits in human resource management are the establishment of comprehensive HR departments where none previously existed in organizations with thousands of employees; the design and installation of base and incentive compensation systems and comprehensive benefits plans; the development of multi-enterprise and multi-facility affirmative action plans, the implementation of integrated HR and payroll management software; the development of employment policies, manuals and handbooks; the recruitment of hundreds of executive through production-level employees; and international recognition for the design and implementation of technical and management training. He has earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees and is active in the Society for Human Resource Management and World-at-Work. John is a member Society for Human Resource Management, has served two terms as Chapter President, member of the Board of Directors, and has received the 1993 Member of the Year Award. In addition, he has served on the SHRM Pennsylvania State Council, and the SHRM Area I Board of Directors. Mr. Kerlish has been awarded the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation in recognition of his knowledge and professional expertise in the field of human resources. In addition, Mr. Kerlish has successfully planned and executed human resource management strategies in mergers, acquisitions, and other organizational restructuring.
